Mechanical Fitter

Quest Employment are recruiting a Mechanical Fitterto join our client's team. The role will involve setting up and maintaining a variety of machines, with a focus on ensuring smooth production and minimising downtime.

Job Title:Mechanical Fitter

Location:ST4

Salary:30 -32k dependent on experience

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 07:00 to 15:20
• Friday: 07:00 to 14:00
• 39 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up machines to ensure the production of products at the correct sizes.
• Responding to machine breakdowns and carrying out necessary repairs to get them operational as quickly as possible.
• Perform routine machine maintenance to prevent future breakdowns.
• Assist with other tasks as required.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong mechanical knowledge is essential.
• Experience in machine setup and maintenance, particularly an understanding of circuits.
• Welding skills or basic electrical knowledge would be an advantage.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, especially in high-pressure situations.
