Quest Employment are recruiting a Mechanical Fitterto join our client's team. The role will involve setting up and maintaining a variety of machines, with a focus on ensuring smooth production and minimising downtime.
Job Title:Mechanical Fitter
Location:ST4
Salary:30 -32k dependent on experience
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 to 15:20
- Friday: 07:00 to 14:00
- 39 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up machines to ensure the production of products at the correct sizes.
- Responding to machine breakdowns and carrying out necessary repairs to get them operational as quickly as possible.
- Perform routine machine maintenance to prevent future breakdowns.
- Assist with other tasks as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong mechanical knowledge is essential.
- Experience in machine setup and maintenance, particularly an understanding of circuits.
- Welding skills or basic electrical knowledge would be an advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, especially in high-pressure situations.
