Purchasing Analyst.

Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.

Salary: Competitive.

Package Details: 28 days holiday, Pension Contributions.

Working Hours: Monday Friday (40 hours per week / early Friday finish).

The Purchasing Analyst role involves optimising procurement processes by analysing purchasing data, supplier performance, and market trends. The role has a keen focus on improving cost efficiency, ensuring supplier reliability, and supporting strategic decision-making within the Supply Chain Function.

Role Description.

Analysing and optimising procurement activities.

Gathering and interpreting purchasing data, assessing Supplier performance, and supporting the development of cost-effective procurement strategies.

Annual purchasing cost savings and ensuring purchase order accuracy.

Supplier performance/supplier lead time improvement in line with business needs.

Supplier relationship development and risk management.

Purchasing process and vendor payment optimisation.

Ensuring all purchasing activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

Continuously improve processes, tools, and systems to enhance purchasing efficiency.

Avoid/reduce stock outages.

Working closely within a cross-functional team, including procurement, finance and operations.

Skills and Qualifications.

Experience within a manufacturing business.

CIPS qualification.

Professional purchasing experience with an ability to help develop purchasing processes.

Ability to build rapport and relationships with a variety of stakeholders and decision makers.

Strong communication skills and organisational ability.
