Our client, a leading organisation in the industry, is seeking a motivated and experienced Warehousing/Stock Controller to join their team. As a Warehousing/Stock Controller, you will be responsible for organising and directing all activities related to the preparation, warehousing, storage, receipt, and despatch of goods. You will provide support to the Operations Planner and work closely with the Production and Logistics teams to ensure efficient resource allocation.

Responsibilities:

Ensure smooth inbound and outbound activities, maintaining fluidity and safety in storage areas and movements.
Assess the skills and competencies of the stores team, prioritising and scheduling workload accordingly.
Collaborate with senior stores operatives to determine training needs and manage and implement necessary changes.
Act as a key user for SAP and labelling systems.
Control hazardous waste material and ensure safe and proper disposal.
Manage warehouses and storage bays on-site and offsite stock.
Maintain and improve safety, quality, and environmental performance, ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
Investigate incidents and near misses, utilising Root Cause Analysis to implement corrective actions.
Safely operate FLTs and liaise with service providers.
Adhere to transport/ADR regulations and create and maintain standard operating procedures and risk assessments.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality policies and procedures.
Ensure warehouse, loading, and canning equipment is fit for purpose.
Manage third-party transport contractors while on-site.
Lead and drive continuous improvement within the business, monitoring performance against KPIs and inspiring the team to identify and implement improvements.
Establish and maintain housekeeping standards throughout all storage locations.

Demonstrated initiative and a commitment to high standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

Previous experience in undertaking Root Cause Analysis is advantageous.
Knowledge/experience of ISO90001 or equivalent quality standard.
NEBOSH certification.
IMDG/IATA qualification.
Strong communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
Proficiency in IT, including knowledge of business systems (such as SAP) and software packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, Entropy, and Planet).
