Role: Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher - Stoke-on-Trent

As an MFL Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in various modern foreign languages, creating a stimulating learning environment, and helping students develop their language skills. You will have the opportunity to teach across different key stages and make a significant impact on students' academic and personal growth in Stoke-on-Trent.

The ideal candidate for the MFL Teacher role will have a strong background in languages, as well as a passion for teaching and encouraging students to embrace new linguistic challenges. You should be committed to creating an inclusive classroom where all students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities of the MFL Teacher:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Modern Foreign Languages to students at various levels.
  • Develop and implement creative and engaging teaching materials for MFL students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback.
  • Support student's language development and cultural understanding.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning for MFL.
  • Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver cross-curricular activities related to Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Engage with students in extracurricular activities to further develop their language skills.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management, ensuring students are motivated and engaged in their MFL studies.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Modern Foreign Languages and the ability to teach at least one language fluently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience teaching MFL in secondary education is desirable but not essential.
