Hours:
Days: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Some Saturdays TBD) | Salary: £29,800
Nights: Monday - Friday, 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM | Salary: £35,775

 

About the role:

Are you an experienced Warehouse Supervisor looking for a role that offers excellent rewards and benefits? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and work closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of daily warehouse activities, including the loading, unloading, and storage of goods for import, export, and delivery.

Operational Management:

• Maintain effective communication between the warehouse office, warehouse teams, and other business areas (e.g., Imports and ETSF teams)
• Organise and oversee staff training and ensure correct warehouse procedures are implemented
• Ensure freight is accurately scanned in and out for imports, exports, and deliveries
• Manage scanning KPI reports, providing updates and briefings to teams
• Maintain and manage the warehouse and yard for optimal safety, space utilisation, and compliance with health and safety standards

Health and Safety:


• Enforce compliance with all Health & Safety regulations, including reporting incidents as per the Health & Safety at Work Act
• Conduct return-to-work interviews after staff absences and record relevant information in the HR system
• Oversee yard management, ensuring proper vehicle and driver coordination

Daily Operations:


• Perform daily team briefings and ensure proper handovers during shift changes
• Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment (e.g., MHE), ensuring inspections are completed, and defects are reported for repair
• Process emails promptly, addressing warehouse issues and updates


System Use and Reporting:


• Utilise warehouse scanners, Azyra, and other systems to facilitate loading/unloading operations and generate reports
• Ensure proper handling and documentation of all incoming and outgoing stock

Import & Export Responsibilities:


Imports


• Verify and label all incoming freight and ensure correct placement in designated bays
• Manage import documents (e.g., CMRs) for accuracy and compliance, including reporting damages and maintaining records

Exports


• Oversee the organisation and loading of export goods, ensuring proper documentation and communication with customs teams
• Maximise export loads and ensure cargo is documented, photographed (if required), and verified for dispatch

Logistics Responsibilities:


• Confirm inbound stock accuracy and manage storage locations efficiently
• Ensure timely and accurate order picking, packaging, and presentation for dispatch
• Maintain traceability of outbound orders using Cargowise and ensure all relevant documents are signed by drivers upon collection

 

About You:


• Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics operations, including customer account management
• Competence in using Cargowise for inbound, outbound, and stock management processes
• Ability to manage and explain import/export documentation and procedures
• GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) with a valid Counterbalance FLT certificate
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
