Maintenance Engineer – Days

Stoke-based Manufacturing Plant

£35k - £45k depending on experience/qualifications

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support and maintain our manufacturing machinery.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure smooth, uninterrupted production through effective machine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.  The role will be 6am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands on role, based on the factory floor
  • Responsible for mentoring an Apprentice
  • Performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Calibrating machinery for precision.
  • Documenting and reporting maintenance activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with production teams for operational efficiency.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and repairing machinery, with knowledge of CNC machines, extrusion lines, and other equipment used in window and door manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Engineering qualifications are essential.
