Manufacturing Engineer

Days - Mon/ Friday

upto £45,000 (Dependant on experience)

We are looking for a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join a market leading company in their respective field. Reporting directly to the maintenance manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes
  • Evaluate and improve production workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality of products.
  • Monitor and maintain production equipment to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime.
  • Support the introduction of new products and technologies into the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including work instructions, process maps, and equipment manuals.
  • Promote and enforce health and safety standards within the production environment.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing or Six Sigma projects
  • Skills and Qualifications
  • Detail-conscious.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion.
  • Flexible approach.
  • A good understanding of sheet metal fabrication machinery and production.
  • Strong Knowledge of manufacturing process, equipment and quality control.
