Job Title: Production ManagerLocation: Hanley, Stoke-on-TrentHours: 40 hours per week (8.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday)Position: Permanentsalary: 45,000 per annum + £719 per month car allowanceJob Description:We are seeking a hands-on and dynamic Production Manager to lead a team of production operatives in our facility located in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all aspects of our Wire Rope, Petroleum Jelly, and Rust Prevention plants. Your primary focus will be ensuring that manufacturing, filling, and bulk loading schedules are met in a safe and timely manner to satisfy customer demand and On-Time In-Full (OTIF) requirements.Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee all operational activities, ensuring compliance with cost, quality, time, safety, and integrity standards.Ensure plant operations adhere to Local, Country, Business, Global, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and HSSE legislation, policy, and standards.Provide technical support and guidance for wire rope, petroleum jelly, and rust prevention operations.Conduct routine Legionella inspections of the cooling tower.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional departments.Support the embedding of Right First Time (RFT) behaviors in production and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities to achieve best LEAN manufacturing practices.Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the facility.Qualifications:Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Process Operations, or equivalent experience (preferred)Proven experience in production operations, preferably within the lubricant or chemical industry.Strong communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills, with a high level of HSE awareness.Knowledge of Six Sigma and SAP would be advantageous.Benefits:Competitive salaryHoliday entitlement above statutory requirementsAnnual bonus schemePension schemeFree on-site parkingFree supply of workwear and PPEFree eye test vouchersEmployee assistance programDiscounted private medical coverIf you are an experienced professional with a strong background in production management and are looking to contribute to a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
