Job Description:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing mechanical solutions for diverse building services projects. Specializing in HVAC and other related systems, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of innovative, efficient, and cost-effective designs. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce detailed mechanical designs for HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver bespoke building services solutions.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project requirements and verify design feasibility.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using relevant design tools and software.
- Analyze and calculate heating, cooling, ventilation loads, and energy efficiency for building projects.
- Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team throughout the lifecycle of a project.
- Ensure designs adhere to health and safety regulations, as well as environmental and sustainability standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical design within the construction sector, particularly in building services.
- Expertise in HVAC system design and implementation.
- Strong proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools.
- Excellent understanding of industry regulations, codes, and standards.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
