About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team, responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and optimisation of mechanical systems within a commercial office environment. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient operation of mostlyFCUs, ventilation systems, chillers, boilers, and 4-pipe FCUs to maintain optimal building performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, including FCUs, ventilation, chillers, and boilers.

Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure operational efficiency.

Monitor and maintain 4-pipe FCU systems to ensure proper heating and cooling distribution.

Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair work.

Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including reports and service documentation.

Identify and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and energy efficiency.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Essential Skills & Experience:
-
Proven experience in mechanical engineering within a commercial building environment.

Strong technical knowledge ofFCUs, ventilation, chillers, boilers, and 4-pipe FCU systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) for monitoring and control.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:

Degree/HND/HNCin Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).

Relevant industry certifications (e.g., F-Gas, HVAC qualifications) are advantageous. Gas tickets will increase salary.

CSCS card (preferred).

Full UK driving licence.
