Mason James are partnered with an industry leading UK food manufacuting business based in the Shropshire area. We are looking for an experience Mechanical Engineer to join the team on a full time, perminent basis.

 Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and promote health and safety standards across site working safely at all times.
  • Responsible for all reactive and proactive maintenance work, whilst making sure it is carried out to the highest possible standards across the whole of the site.
  • Expected to carry out all maintenance and repairs across the factory, in both a low care and high care environment.
  • Attend to breakdowns when necessary, ensuring that there is always a rapid response, and that plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimised. Always endeavour to reduce downtime of site plant and machinery.
  • Carry out repairs to plant and equipment effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team.
  • To carry out PPM onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a pro-active approach to planned maintenance and a high PPM output.
  • Identify areas of improvement to increase equipment reliability and efficiencies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years maintenance engineering experience 
  • Manufacturing Industry experience – Industry considered: Packaging, Food, FMCG.
  • Good Communication
  • Engineering Knowledge both electrical and mechanical.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
