Mechanical Service Engineer- Pumps/Hydraulics

Mechanical focused Service Engineer needed to join a growing business with a great reputation.

You will support in the Installation and maintenance of machinery such as Pumps/Hydraulics. The ideal candidate for this role will have some experience working within a service role and have a can-do, team spirited attitude.

Day to day duties.

  • Working on site usually within the midlands, but could be anywhere in the UK
  • Installing and maintaining plant machinery, which will include Pumps, valves, hoses and more.
  • Attending breakdowns and repairing as required
  • Ensure work is completed to a high standard
  • Fault finding and diagnosis
  • Looking after tools and equipment, including your van
  • Ensuring lifting equipment is tested and in date
  • Responsible for the safety documentation
  • Completing comprehensive reports

Key skills for the Service Engineer position includes

  • Time served engineer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion

  • 40 hours per week could include nights away from home. - although infrequent
