BAND 3 MEDICAL SECRETARY

  • Temporary for 1 month initially
  • Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm/9am - 5pm
  • Rate of pay starts from 11.44ph

Adecco are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary who possesses excellent typing and organisational skills to support our Public Sector Client on a temporary basis. This position is for one month initially with chance of extension, to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Providing efficient secretarial support to consultants and other healthcare professionals
  • Audio/copy typing using medical terminology
  • Producing letters on behalf of consultants
  • Be the first point of contact for enquires via telephone, written and email
  • Maintaining electronic and manual diaries
  • Arranging meetings to produce minutes as required.

Requirements

  • Excellent audio/copy typing skills, including shorthand if required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a high volume of workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional and friendly demeanour when dealing with patients, relatives, and other staff members.
  • Experience using electronic systems for letter production and diary management.
