Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Pharmacist to join our NHS Hospital pharmacy client in Stoke. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make a meaningful impact on patient care in a hospital ward setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert pharmaceutical care to patients in mental health wards.
  • Conduct medication reviews and optimize pharmacotherapy for individuals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient management.
  • Monitor and manage the side effects of psychotropic medications.
  • Educate and counsel patients and healthcare staff on medication use.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Mental Health Pharmacist.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Strong knowledge of mental health medications and their management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
