We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Operations Manager to join our team in the childrens care sector. This role involves supporting the Operations Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering high-quality care services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about childrens well-being, possess strong leadership skills, and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support:
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations across childcare facilities to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and staff deployment.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations governing childcare services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of licensing requirements and safety standards.
  • Prepare for and participate in inspections and audits.
  • Team Management:
  • Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor staff performance and address any issues promptly.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care programs tailored to childrens developmental needs.
  • Implement systems to monitor and evaluate service delivery.
  • Address parent and caregiver concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Assist in managing budgets and controlling operational costs.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supplies and resources are available.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Oversee the implementation of health and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for children and staff.
  • Address emergency situations and incidents effectively and report them as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:Level 5 Leadership and Management for Care Services
  • Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations or management, preferably in a childcare or education setting.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Certifications:First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Personal Attributes:Empathy, integrity, and a genuine passion for working with children and families.
