Graduate Production Manager required for a chemical manufacturing client based in Stoke on Trent.

The successful Graduate Production Manager will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination and supervision of the production process. They will work closely with the production and senior management teams to ensure efficient production workflows.

Graduate Production Manager Job Overview

  • To motivate and give direction to production team, as part of Supply Chain, whilst maintaining quality-based production.
  • To control work flow to meet customer deadlines, from checking and managing product specification, making adjustments and overseeing the work of employees.
  • To undertake operational duties as required to meet deadlines and / or cover for staff absence.
  • Implementation of Lean manufacturing principles - working collaboratively to eliminate waste including refresh of 5S/6S + Safety.
  • Challenge all activities by establishing 'do they add value' to the business.
  • Manage overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Graduate Production Manager Job Requirements

  • Degree / Apprenticeship in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related field.
  • Candidate should ideally be experienced in / have knowledge of 6S, lean and reliability engineering.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control and safety standards (preferred).
  • Experience / interest in automated process control systems Siemens S7.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • SAP S4 (preferred).
  • Based within a commutable distance of Stoke-on-Trent.
  • Full UK driving licence is preferable.

Graduate Production Manager Salary & Benefits

  • Salary - £30,000 to £32,000 - dependent upon experience, skill and qualifications.
  • Working hours - 8am to 5pm (with lunch break). (40 hours).
  • Annual bonus scheme.
