Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teacher looking for a rewarding part-time role? Academics have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Reception Teacher to join a friendly and supportive school in Stoke-on-Trent on a supply basis.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to thrive.
  • Assess, track, and support children's progress to ensure they achieve their developmental milestones.
  • Implement and support phonics teaching using recognised frameworks to develop children's early reading skills.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and carers to promote a holistic approach to education and care.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child welfare.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Early Years teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within the EYFS, particularly Reception.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and best practices in early years education.
  • Sound knowledge of phonics teaching, including the ability to effectively deliver phonics sessions and support children's early reading development.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic supply role.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
