As a Tutor specialising in core subjects for primary and secondary age pupils, your primary purpose is toprovide personalised academic support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and engaginglearning environment. This role is crucial in helping students develop a strong foundation in key subjects,laying the groundwork for their academic success. The role of a tutor is to provide academic support andguidance to students in a one-on-one or small-group setting. Tutors help reinforce classroom learning,address individual learning needs, and enhance overall academic performance. While the specificresponsibilities may vary based on the subject and level of education, the core duties of a tutor generallyinclude:

Main duties and responsibilities1 Design and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the individual needs and learning stylesof the student.2 Deliver instruction in core subjects such as Mathematics, English and Science ensuring alignmentwith the relevant curriculum standards.3 Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and learning gaps.4 Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions to address specific academic challengesand reinforce key concepts.5 Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to ask questionsand seek clarification6 Regularly assess and track students' progress to gauge the effectiveness of interventions.7 Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to communicate progress and discussstrategies for improvement8 Develop and curate educational materials, resources, and tools to enhance the learningexperience9 Utilise a variety of teaching aids, technology, and interactive activities to make lessons engagingand effective10 Modify teaching methods and strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles.11 Stay informed about educational trends, best practices, and curriculum updates to continuouslyenhance instructional approaches12 Maintain open and transparent communication with students, parents, and school staffregarding progress, challenges, and goals.13 Collaborate with teachers to align tutoring sessions with classroom instruction and supportoverall academic development.14 Encourage a positive attitude towards learning and help students build confidence in theiracademic abilities, whilst instilling a passion for knowledge and curiosity, promoting a lifelonglove of learning15 Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and any additional support provided.16 Generate reports and summaries to evaluate the impact of tutoring efforts on students'academic performance
