Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Tester to join their team. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to identify and report on potential hazards and compliance issues. My client is a specialist in electrical testing services to a range of clients.

Their Field Test & Inspection team are the heartbeat of what they do, as such they have created a commission structure that will allow you to really benefits from your hard work, upon completion of your daily minimum circuits you will begin to be paid a premium for each one thereafter. We’ve plenty of work available, so for those looking to maximise their earnings we could be the ideal employer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments
  • Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment
  • Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards
  • Provide clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions
  • Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice
  • Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as required
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols always
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance technical skills

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing
  • NVQ Level 3
  • 18th Edition
  • In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and software for reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Valid UK driving licence
