Our client is looking for an experienced Quality Lead to join their amazing team!

Starting salary from £35,000.00 per year

Based on-site at HMYOI Werrington you will support the Education Principal with effective management of the curriculum, ensuring needs of learners and employers are met, including delivery of Functional Skills, Personal & Social Development and work-based programmes.

  • The Quality Lead will lead on quality projects as agreed with the Director of Operations and the Justice Director to ensure that stakeholder expectations are met timely.
  • Manage the quality team to ensure that they work effectively with delivery staff and education provision managers to ensure that delivery meets quality standards and external accreditation requirements.
  • Monitor the impact of the quality team activity and business cycle to ensure that they result in quantifiable improvements to provision.
  • Deliver a schedule of Internal Quality Reviews based on inspection methodology, as agreed with the Quality Director and the Justice Director.
  • Provide managers with the tools and support them to deliver a robust programme for monitoring the quality of teaching and learning ensuring judgements/grading is accurate; high quality teaching is identified and shared, and underperformance is promptly addressed to meet the requirements of the contract.
  • Coordinate quality training to ensure individual establishment and group requirements are met and that there are clear records of what has taken place and that the impact can be measured.
  • Work with the National Performance Manager to review performance against the requirements of external accreditations and plan activity to close any gaps.
  • Provide timely monthly and quarterly reports on progress of improvement activities and impact of activity as agreed with the Director of Operations – PEF.
  • Support management teams with self-assessment activity and improvement planning activity.
  • Liaise regularly with the HMPS prison contracts team and quality team for sharing practice, being involved in internal audits and support visits on site, and reporting on quarterly data and performance.
  • Support Education Managers with preparation and inspection activity to achieve a successful outcome at Ofsted.

Quality Lead - Requirements

Education, training and qualifications:

Degree or equivalent qualification Teaching qualification (QTLS as appropriate) / Assessor/Verifier Award

Experience of leading the coaching of teachers to develop their own teaching practice

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

Knowledge of current relevant educational research and standards

Ability to cultivate an aspirational culture in which education managers, teaching staff and learners can thrive and grow

Strong motivation to lead the achievement of success

Able to plan, communicate and problem solve effectively

Excellent communication skills both written and oral

Experience:

Evidence of providing support/training for teachers to provide high quality effective learning experience

A track record in the management of quality improvement with evidence of raising standards.

Evidence of working in a custodial or community setting

Experience in preparation for and during an Ofsted Inspection

Experience in Neurodiversity and Reading specialist work
