Procurement officer£22 per hourBased Stoke on Trent  Join our team and help transform Procurement & Commercial Services into a high-performing, streamlined powerhouse. We’re seeking professionals to support Procurement Operations and Payments, managing processes from sourcing to payment to meet the Clients objectives. What You’ll Do:
  • Enhance Processes: Assist in establishing an effective Central Purchase Ordering and Central Buying Team.
  • Drive Value: Work closely with service teams to deliver savings, ensure value for money, and optimize procurement processes.
  • Deliver Results: Lead buying activities up to £50,000, including managing three-quote and mini-tender processes and working with regional and national frameworks.
  • Market Expertise: Conduct supplier research, negotiate pricing and delivery schedules, and support the Category Management team to develop cost-effective supply chains.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the development of Central Buying functions.
  2. Collaborate with Category Management to maximize value.
  3. Lead and manage procurement activities and supplier negotiations.
  4. Research supply markets and report on progress and risks.
