The company you will be working for is an established Main contractor with years of experience providing specialist design, M&E and refrigeration services, saving time and money by streamlining all aspects of the project with a specialist, innovative, problem solving capability.

As Quantity Surveyor you will be office based in Burton on Trent as lead QS for one of the businesses key retail clients managing a number of projects for the client at any given time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting accurate cost estimates, budget management, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely cost advice.
  • Analyzing contracts, identifying risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Preparing detailed bills of quantities and tender documents.
  • Evaluating subcontractor and supplier bids and negotiating favorable terms.
  • Monitoring project progress and variations, ensuring alignment with budgetary and contractual requirements.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our cost management processes.
