upto £40,000 (Dependant on experience)

We are looking for a motivated Research and Development Engineer to join a market leading company in their respective field. Reporting directly to the maintenance manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description

• Design and develop new products and improve existing designs using Solidworks.
• * Conduct product testing and performance analysis.
• * Collaborate with production, quality, and sales teams to ensure seamless product integration.
• * Research new materials, technologies, and manufacturing techniques.
• * Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• * Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and checking of test reports.
• * Participate in prototype development and testing.
• * Identify and resolve technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in product design and development, preferably in steel or construction products.
• * Good written and verbal communication
• * Proficient in SolidWorks. CWSP certifies ideally.
• * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
