Job role:Maintenance Operative

Job Type: Mobile role

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Operative in Stoke-on-Trent. You will join the Mobile division to ensure all preplanned and reactive maintenance tasks are carried out on multiple sites.

This is a Monday to Friday position working a 40 hours per week, In return you will receive:

  • Salary up to 28,000 per annum
  • 40 working hours per week
  • 23+ 8 days' holidays
  • Tools provided

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the general maintenance and upkeep of the facility, including cleaning and organizing common areas, offices, and restrooms.
  • Basic handyman duties and basic electrical knowledge,also experience doing plumbing,building maintenance experience is needed.
  • Perform regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
  • Assist in coordinating and overseeing external contractors for repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in setting up and organizing meeting rooms and event spaces.
  • Support the facilities team in various administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic computer skills for email communication and maintaining records.
