Accounts Assistant (Sales/Purchase Ledger)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm  

We are working on behalf of our Recycling specialsit client who are on the look out to expand their finance team, this position will be heavily Sales/Purchase Ledger focused, as well as providing general administrative support to the financial controller and the Office Manager.  This role is great for someone who has had a few years experience processing sales invoices, liasing with clients and overall invoice management. 

Main Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant   

  • Data processing of the company records
  • Administration of the sales and purchase ledger duties, including invoice management and processing
  • Communicating with clients and suppliers and handling their enquiries
  • Processing transactions and maintaining records and ledgers
  • Providing administrative support to the Financial Controller and Office Manager
  • Other administrative tasks, call handling and general office duties

Experience and Skills required

  • Must have 2-3+ Years experience within a similar position, confident in invoice processing and purchase/Sales Ledger
  • A working knowledge of Sage 50 Cloud is advantageous
  • MS Office skills (namely Excel, Word & Outlook) are essential.
  • Accounts qualifications would be beneficial
