An expansive SME in Stoke-on-Trent have recently approached Mitchell Adam for assistance with their search for an experienced and talented Finance Assistant. The organisation is looking for an individual with experience with both sides of the ledger and a good level of communication skills. They're growing at a healthy rate and are looking to bolster their finance function; they offer a flexible hybrid working style and provide a strong study support package for their staff.

This organisation has gone through a tremendous level of development in recent years as a result of direct investment and acquisitions and have continued to deliver a fantastic level of quality to their customers. They care deeply about their staff and are looking to bring on a talented Finance Assistant into the finance function. As a Finance Assistant, the responsibilities include covering the purchase ledger responsibilities such as processing invoices, covering sales ledger responsibilities and occasionally becoming involved with credit control duties. The organisation provide a fantastic study support package for those looking to complete their AAT, ACCA or CIMA.

Skills Required
  • To have experience covering both purchase and sales ledger responsibilities such as processing invoices and completing reconciliations.
  • To be confident in your communication style, as this role will involve interacting with internal and external finance professionals.
  • To have an eye for detail and a history of working with large data sets, as in this role you will be dealing with figures on a daily basis.
  • To be confident using Microsoft Excel, and functions such as Pivot Tables and Vlookups.
