Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons as an English Teacher across Key Stage 3 and 4
- Teach English Language and English Literature in line with the national curriculum, using creative and interactive methods as an English Teacher
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development as an English Teacher
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment as an English Teacher
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall English curriculum as an English Teacher
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities as an English Teacher
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE) with experience teaching English at secondary level as an English Teacher
- Have a strong knowledge of the English curriculum and the ability to deliver it in an engaging and accessible way as an English Teacher
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and a proactive approach as an English Teacher
- Be passionate about helping students improve their literacy and communication skills as an English Teacher
- Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community as an English Teacher
- Show a strong commitment to continuous professional development as an English Teacher
