History Teacher

Academics are currently looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teachers who are looking to gain week-by-week, short, and long term supply assignments within our partnership secondary schools and academies in Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire.

Whether this is a new long term contract or temporary supply, at Academics we focus the job search around you and look to provide you with the type of work you are looking for. Our opportunities are great as they allow our teachers to be flexible with the days that they wish to work and can be ideal for both Early Career Teachers (ECT) and Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT) as these roles historically have led to more long-term and permanent roles in some of our schools.

Roles Requirements

• Have UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS or QTLS).
• Be familiar with the UK National Curriculum and the History programmes of study.
• Have strong classroom and behaviour management with excellent subject knowledge, and to have the ability to teach and inspire positive learning attitudes.
• Be able to adapt quickly within a new school environment and to be a good team player.
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).

Please be aware that your daily rate will be dependent upon experience, prior qualifications, and the client rate that is available. For longer-term assignments you will be paid according to your teacher pay grade.
