Academics are currently looking for enthusiastic Geography Teachers to work in their client secondary schools and academies in the Stoke-on-Trent & Newcastle-under-Lyme. Working as a flexible supply teacher is an ideal way to explore a variety of different schools before applying for a long term or permanent post, and additionally supply is an excellent way for ECT's (Early Career Teachers) to boost their current classroom experience for their CV!
Geography (Humanities) Teachers who apply for both our short & long term supply opportunities must:
- Hold the relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
- Have strong classroom/behaviour management and you can easily build good rapport with students/staff.
- Deliver exciting and engaging Geography lessons using your own initiative and have good knowledge of the UK national curriculum.
- Be happy to travel and to be able to get to our partnership schools in Stoke-on-Trent & Newcastle-under-Lyme by 8.30am with sometimes only 30-60 minute's notice for our on the day supply.
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS through ourselves (cost applied).
Please be aware that your daily rate will be dependent upon experience, prior qualifications, the supply requirement (short or long term) and the client rate that is currently available.
