Academics are currently looking for passionate and enthusiastic Art and Design Teachers to work supply in our partnership secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire after the Christmas break. Working as a supply teacher is a great way to explore a variety of different schools before applying for a long term or permanent post and additionally supply is an excellent way to boost your classroom experience for your CV.

Qualified Art and Design Teachers who wish to register with Academics will:

  • Have a proven track record of working with students in both Key Stage 3 & 4.
  • Be a confident communicator, an excellent motivator, and can build good rapport with students.
  • Hold the relevant teaching Art qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with a Qualified Teaching Status (QTS or QTLS).
  • Deliver exciting and engaging Art and Design lessons using your own initiative and have good knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).

Applications are welcome from Art and Design Teachers at any stage in their careers, including ECTs/NQTs.
