Our Client

Morgan Hunt is working with an OFSTED regulated supported housing provider whose mission is to provide housing and support to those who need it most, whether they are seeking asylum, transitioning out of care, or facing homelessness. Their ultimate aim is to give people the support and skills they need to achieve sustainable long-term independence.

We are looking to recruit 3 Childrens Home Support Workers for a brand-new service in Alsager, Cheshire. These are permanent positions, working on a 4-week rolling rota. Shifts are worked 2.30pm-10.30pm, sleep in, 7am-3pm and these posts are part time working 24 hours per week (on average 1 - 2 shifts per week).

The Role

  • Working as part of a team to transform the lives children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties within a Childrens Home provision.
  • Working with young peoples aged 8 - 18 years old to provide a loving and caring environment to the children in a therapeutically informed environment.
  • Ensuring each child is treated with understanding, dignity, kindness and respect.
  • Forming positive relationships with children based on respect and openness.
  • Having an awareness of safeguarding from harm and the ability to assess and manage risk.

The Candidate

  • Have experience working with vulnerable children in a residential setting
  • Be able to form positive relationships with children based on respect and openness?
  • Have an awareness of safeguarding from harm and the ability to assess and manage risk?
  • Hold or be willing to work towards the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (we will support you with this)?
  • UK valid Driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use?
