Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 08:30 - 17:00, 37 hour per week
Pay rate: 12.70 per hour
Job Purpose
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Administrator/Team Co-ordinator to join our Children's Social Care team. This role is crucial in supporting the operational effectiveness of our Social Care Teams, ensuring smooth coordination of tasks, excellent customer service, and efficient administrative support. The successful candidate will work flexibly to assist with various activities, including tasks with children and families, while maintaining a high level of service to the public, agencies, and professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to designated social care teams, ensuring all administrative and operational functions run smoothly.
- Act as the first point of contact for inquiries, managing both general and complex queries from the public, staff, and external agencies with empathy and efficiency.
- Organise meetings, schedule appointments, and maintain diaries for team members. Ensure all statutory requirements for children's services, such as child protection visits and reviews, are tracked and communicated effectively.
- Attend meetings to take minutes, including those held off-site or in family homes.
- Manage office supplies, process financial payments, and handle correspondence accurately. Ensure all paper and electronic records are maintained and stored appropriately.
Key Skills and Requirements
- A good standard of education with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience in establishing effective working relationships and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact sensitively with the public and staff.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work systematically.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for information management and data production.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the needs of vulnerable children and families, and a commitment to equality and diversity principles.
