We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our SEMH provision. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our pupils both academically and emotionally. You will work closely with the class teacher to implement personalised learning plans and create a safe and supportive environment where each pupil can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Assisting with the delivery of tailored academic lessons and activities.
- Supporting pupils' emotional and social development through positive reinforcement and guidance.
- Helping to create a calm, structured, and encouraging learning environment.
- Working closely with other professionals to monitor and review pupil progress.
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping to manage challenging situations in a constructive manner.
What We're Looking For:
- A dedicated and empathetic individual who is passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH needs.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health challenges, is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with both pupils and staff.
- Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ideally, a full UK driving licence, as the role may involve some travel to different sites or external activities.
