SEN Teaching Assistant

Aspire People are proud to be working with a small specialist environment for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With a maximum of 5 pupils per class, they focus on delivering tailored academic support, fostering social development, and addressing emotional well-being.We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our SEMH provision. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our pupils both academically and emotionally. You will work closely with the class teacher to implement personalised learning plans and create a safe and supportive environment where each pupil can thrive.Your responsibilities will include:- Providing one-on-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.- Assisting with the delivery of tailored academic lessons and activities.- Supporting pupils' emotional and social development through positive reinforcement and guidance.- Helping to create a calm, structured, and encouraging learning environment.- Working closely with other professionals to monitor and review pupil progress.- Promoting positive behaviour and helping to manage challenging situations in a constructive manner.What We're Looking For:- A dedicated and empathetic individual who is passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH needs.- Experience working with children, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health challenges, is desirable but not essential.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with both pupils and staff.- Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.- Ideally, a full UK driving licence, as the role may involve some travel to different sites or external activities.Why Join Us?Supportive Consultant: You will have the support of your dedicated consultant throughout your role.Ongoing Professional Development: We offer training and development opportunities to help you grow in your role.A Rewarding Role: You will play a pivotal role in the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils who require additional support.If you are looking for a rewarding and fulfilling role in a supportive environment, and you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of pupils with SEMH needs, we would love to hear from you!Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
