Who we are looking for

A Waste Operative, who will play a key role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the external grounds of our office buildings.Being an integral part of the waste management team, you will report directly to the Waste Management Supervisor, who will allocate tasks on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule.As the operation continues to grow, this role will provide further opportunity to work as part of a team and take sole responsibility for tasks.

Preferred skills and experience

  • Basic IT skills.
  • Awareness of COSHH.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Proactive approach to tasks.
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Understanding of health and safety processes.
  • If successful you will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from your first day of employment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Sweeping, litter picking, and emptying of bins.
  • Maintaining the outside environment including occasional gardening responsibilities.
  • Approaching the use and storage of chemicals and machinery in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Following guidelines involving the use of PPE.
