Maintenance & Cleaning Operative, Stoke to 23,300

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance and Cleaning Operative to join one of the world leading leisure and manufacturing brands. They are looking for a Maintenance and Cleaning Operative to take care of their facilities and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks (Floor buffing)
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks such as replacing displaced toilet seats, unclogging sinks
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include painting, repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Changing light bulbs and ensuring other fixtures and fittings are in good working order
  • Minor plumbing and carpentry
  • Clearing or cleaning general areas
  • Shifting furniture or equipment
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs
  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff and provide assistance to co-workers when needed
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Performs additional duties as needed.
  • Adhere to company policies
  • Maintain complete records of daily maintenance activities

Requirements and skills

  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
  • Proven maintenance experience.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance.
  • Own car and driving license
  • Strong organisational and follow up skills.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Professional presentation and attitude.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
  • Strong time management skills.
