The Role: Youll play a pivotal role in the success of the 24/7 operations, managing a team of 60 engineers to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations. As there is a commitment to a Preventative Maintenance approach, your job will be to focus on proactive, rather than reactive, maintenance. In your first 6 months, youll dive deep into processes and procedures, setting clear guidelines for day-to-day operations and aligning teams for success. This strategic role will allow you to make a real impact, with long-term potential to grow into leadership positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement proactive maintenance strategies to prevent breakdowns.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, planners, and stores to manage critical parts and equipment.
- Work on heavy machinery such as giant silos and kilns at high temperatures, ensuring they operate efficiently.
- Position yourself as a leader, creating and enforcing guidelines for operational excellence.
Skills & Experience:
- Engineering Degree requiredeither Mechanical or Electrical.
- A forward-thinking, analytical mindset with the ability to assess processes and make improvements.
- Previous experience in a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment is ideal.
- Ability to lead a diverse, dynamic team with an eye on succession planning.
- Ambitious and driven to grow in the industry.
