Job Description
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our busy workshop in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday (day shifts) for 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and servicing of HGVs to a high standard, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of HGVs.
Conduct diagnostics and fault finding using advanced tools and equipment.
Perform MOT preparation and testing.
Complete brake, clutch, engine, and gearbox repairs.
Handle electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring all work is completed to the required standards.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any defects.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop.
Requirements
Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role.
Class 2 Licence is essential.
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
Knowledge of health and safety standards in the workplace.
