Job Description We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our busy workshop in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday (day shifts) for 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and servicing of HGVs to a high standard, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of HGVs.
  • Conduct diagnostics and fault finding using advanced tools and equipment.
  • Perform MOT preparation and testing.
  • Complete brake, clutch, engine, and gearbox repairs.
  • Handle electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring all work is completed to the required standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any defects.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role.
  • Class 2 Licence is essential.
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in the workplace.
