Our client a busy public services organisation based in Trentham Lakes, Staffordshire has an excellent opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to support the delivery of its Fleet Service.
As a Vehicle Technician (Light) you will be a member of a team responsible for delivering high quality, credible and timely transactional and outcome focused support services covering light vehicle fleet management. You will deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate real value to front line services through effective service delivery.
Working with the Workshops Managers and in collaboration with key colleagues you will ensure that relevant elements of the service catalogue are successfully delivered in accordance with the ongoing key performance indicators and contribute to the improvement of service delivery.
Essential criteria
- Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or be able to demonstrate relevant experience and qualifications as a Technician/Mechanic
- Experience in all aspects of motor vehicle repair and diagnostics including electrical wiring
- Experience of working in a high-volume workshop.
- Experience in vehicle diagnosis processes
- Being a qualified MOT tester would be advantageous but not essential.
- Full current driving licence which is relevant to the areas of fleet to which you provide support.
- Own Set of Tools
This is a permanent, full-time role. The role pays an initial annual salary of between £ £29,874 - £35,982 (plus other benefits) depending on your skills and experience.
These roles will require police vetting and employment checks as part of the recruitment process.
