We are working with Stoke on Trent Council who are looking for a skilled Senior Vehichle Technician to aid in the repairs and maintenenace of vehichles and machinery.

Senior Skilled Vehicle Technician

Start: ASAP

Duration: Until Feb 2025 Initially

Rate: £31.21 per hour (Umbrella)

Onsite working for Stoke on Trent Council

Shifts: operate a shift working pattern on a weekly basis

  • 06:30-14:30 Mon-Thurs 06:30-14:00 Friday
  • 08:00-16:00 Mon-Thurs 08:00-15:30 Friday

Responsibilities

  • Must be have a good knowledge of working on different types of agricultural vehicles and machinery
  • The role is mainly for Plant vehicles and machinery from ride on mowers to JCB loaders also including trailer repairs
  • Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance in accordance with the laid down manufacturers specification , including fault finding and diagnostic testing to motor vehicles, contractors plant and grounds machinery powered by gas, diesel oil, petrol or electricity together with associated equipment
  • Carry out repairs including fault finding and diagnostic testing to vehicle/plant electrics, hydraulics and pneumatics, especially those fitted to specialist vehicles such as refuse, road sweeper’s, gully vehicles and buses
  • Carry out MOT testing (class 4, 5 and 7)
