How will your day to day look?
As a crucial player, you'll have the opportunity to harness your skills to design and innovate across various domains, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC, tackling projects that span from tracking emissions from cows to monitoring submarine atmospheres and beyond. Be part of something truly extraordinary!
- Design and Development: You'll be designing systems that meet customer requirements, ensuring selected parts are suitable for the life of the system and the environment in which they will be used.
- Customer Interaction: You will ensure regular contact with customers, conducting design reviews, and testing as required to maintain satisfaction and adherence to specifications.
- Documentation and Testing: Part of your role will be to create test documentation and complete customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). Travel will be required to customer sites to oversee system setup and ensure proper functionality.
- Support and Training: You will collaborate with the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) engineer to produce through-life support documentation for internal and external use. Work with customer support and documentation teams to ensure appropriate training materials are developed.
- Supplier Consultancy: Your role will include engaging with external suppliers when subcontracting design and build tasks, ensuring they meet the project requirements and standards.
- On-Site Work: Not every day is the same. You will perform on-site surveys, commissioning, and testing to ensure system performance and reliability.
Role Requirements
- Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline (ESSENTIAL)
- Customer facing skills
- Professional document writing skills
- Knowledge of through-life support process
- Creation of and completion of factory acceptance testing
- Designing and building medium to large scale systems
- Taking a system from bid stage all the way through to on site STW
- Professional manner
