We are currently looking for a qualified HGV Technician to join our family run business in Polegate, East Sussex. To start ASAP.
Duties and responsibilities
Taking responsibility for ensuring our tools, vehicles and equipment remain operational through maintenance and repairs.
- Undertake maintenance, service and repair on our fleet of HGV trucks and commercial trailers+tankers to DVSA standard with minimal supervision
- Effectively record details of work completed
- Prepare vehicles to high standard for MOT
- Ensure good housekeeping of workshop
Minimum requirements for this role:
- Have at least 3 years experience (ideally NVQ level 3 for vehicle maintenance)
- Good technical knowledge
- Understanding of Health and safety
- Diagnostic experience
- Ability to work without supervision
- A full UK driving licence
Physical requirements
The role is physically demanding where you may be required to stand for periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis and carry out repetitive tasks when required. Working outside is a necessity for the role.
