- Act as the firm’s designated COLP, maintaining compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and internal training sessions to ensure all team members understand their compliance obligations.
- Monitor changes in relevant regulations and ensure timely updates to policies.
- Manage client due diligence and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance processes.
- Handle regulatory reporting and liaise with external regulatory bodies as required.
- Proven experience in a compliance role within a legal or regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of SRA regulations, AML requirements, and other relevant legislation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience as a COLP is highly desirable but not essential.
