Due to increasing demand, our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong Electrical Engineering background. Based at our clients headquarters and client sites, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality-driven delivery of Nuclear projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with recent, relevant experience looking to further their career in a rapidly evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage installation and customer acceptance of Control System projects in our clients Nuclear Business in compliance with Nuclear licensed site safety standards and site-specific practices
• Lead and motivate a team of software and hardware engineers (typically 1-5+), overseeing installation and commissioning phases
• Control and manage sub-contractors involved in installation (e.g., cable installation, minor electrical/mechanical works)
• Conduct regular client meetings and provide related reports and minutes
• Work closely with Capula’s Health and Safety Manager to ensure site welfare and compliance with health and safety standards
• Manage project resources, ensuring effective planning and execution within budget and quality parameters
• Assist with Electrical Installation, Testing, and Commissioning activities as required
• Interpret customer requirements, conduct site surveys, and produce electrical drawings and installation specifications
• Perform Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and contribute to project safety, health, and environmental plans
Essential Qualifications & Experience
• Completion of Client Contractors National Safety Group Safety Passport Supervisor training
• Relevant health and safety training (IOSH, CITB, RoSPA, BSC, etc.), including manual handling, lifting operations, working at height, confined spaces
• First Aid at Work Certificate
• CDM Training relevant to site responsibilities
• Proven experience delivering Nuclear solutions to specification, on time, and within budget
• Awareness of NEC3/4 contracts
• Strong safety ethos and practical approach to safety management
• Ability and willingness to travel and work at customer sites
• Ability to gain Security Clearance
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
• Educated to at least HND level or higher with additional relevant experience
• IOSH SMSTS certificate
• Completion of Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (5 days) or equivalent
• Progression towards NEBOSH National Construction qualification
• Experience fault-finding on electrical circuits
• AutoCAD experience
• Trained in Temporary Works Coordination/Supervision
• Experience in security system installations
• Previous experience working on Nuclear Licensed sites (preferably in Competent or Nominated Supervisor roles)
