Senior Quantity Surveyor

My client is a leading provider of advanced system integration solutions, with a focus on operational technology and digital transformation, delivering critical projects across hughly regulated industries such as energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing.

Role Summary:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the project team by:

  • Managing commercial aspects: Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and achieving company objectives.
  • Liaising with stakeholders: Communicating with clients, subcontractors, and other third parties on commercial matters.
  • Supporting project delivery: Contributing to the financial success and overall effectiveness of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bid strategy: Identifying potential risks and opportunities in bid documentation.
  • Contractual management: Handling contract changes, variations, and claims.
  • Supply chain management: Building relationships with subcontractors and managing their accounts.
  • Project support: Providing commercial guidance to project teams and managing project finances.
  • Reporting: Preparing and submitting financial reports and forecasts.
  • Control: Prepare and submit interim payment applications, Analyze payment notices and monitor cash receipts, Collect outstanding debts and resolve financial discrepancies, Conduct ongoing cost reconciliation and prepare monthly project forecasts.

  • People: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide guidance to support informed business decisions.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain UK Security Clearance
  • Full driving licence
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, working with NEC3/NEC4 contract forms in an Energy, Construction or Utilities background ideally.

Desirable Requirements:

  • BA or BSc Degree
  • RICS, CIOB, or equivalent membership
  • NEC 3/4 experience
  • UK Born National (Security requirement)
