Senior Quantity Surveyor | Competitive Salary + Car Allowance | Stone, Staffordshire | Hybrid (3 Days per week on-site

MERITUS are working with a leading Industrial consultancy based in Stone, Staffordshire, we're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their energy division.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide essential commercial support to project teams, ensuring all contractual requirements are met and the financial performance of projects is optimised. You will liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other third parties, handling variations, claims, and payments to ensure project success. The position also involves contributing to bids and managing subcontractor relationships while adhering to company procedures.

They're based in Stone, Staffordshire & operate hybrid working with 3 days per week on-site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the financial delivery and commercial strategy of projects, ensuring compliance with all operational, financial, and legislative standards.
  • Manage all contractual changes, variations, and claims, ensuring agreements are reached with both customers and subcontractors in a timely manner.
  • Build strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring financial control and managing subcontracts from start to completion.
  • Handle cost reconciliation, project forecasting, and manage interim applications for payment, ensuring cash flow and debt recovery processes are smooth.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, ideally within main contracting or project delivery environments, with a strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contract forms.
  • Ability to manage contractual issues, assess variations, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Eligibility for UK security clearance is essential, along with a valid UK driving license.
