SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a company based in Gloucester in their search for an Assistant Accountant.

Reporting into a supportive and down to earth Finance Manager, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience in a growing and ever evolving business.

The successful Assistant Accountant will be tasked with supporting the Finance Manager with month end journal posting, inter-company reconciliation's, accruals and prepayments as well as supporting with treasury management.


The ideal Assistant Accountant will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role and ideally be studying towards a recognised Accounting qualification. In addition experience with Sage 50 is highly desirable.


Role:

  • Support with month end process including journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Maintenance of the balance sheet including fixed assets
  • Support with posting of transactions
  • Inter-company of high volume of company bank accounts
  • Support with year end
  • Ad hoc accounting duties as required

Requirements:

  • AAT Qualified
  • Ideally from a Manufacturing background
  • Working towards an accounting qualification
  • Knowledge of Sage 50
  • Good Excel Skills
  • At least 3 years experience in accounting, ideally in a multi site environment
