CNC Machine Operator

£12.00 - £15.50 p/hTemp to PermWorking Shift PatternOur client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking multiple CNC Operators to join their expanding team. The role involves operating CNC machines to ensure efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and meeting deadlines.Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operating one or more CNC machines, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards whilst maintaining a safe and tidy environment.
  • Undertaking daily machine health checks.
  • Responsible for stamping own work, NCR reports, traveler bookings and documents.
  • Actively work with the Production Team Leader and Production Manager to establish key requirements.
  • Minimise level of scrap components.
  • Mentor and support new staff and apprentices within the workshop.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience and/or training in a similar role.
  • Engineering qualification craft apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Basic CNC programming and machine competence.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Ability to add subtract, divide and multiply in all units of measure. Draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to deal with problems and able to apply common sense and carry out instruction.
